Publishing Malfunction at Octane Magazine

In between flights in scenic Philadelphia while poring through the January 2016 issue of the excellent British Octane magazine. The urge strikes to forward the cover story to fellow car geeks. In a few keystrokes I’m at the pub’s website with nary a hint of the “Hot Hatches” feature on eighties pocket rockets. Instead, I’m served up the “latest” articles, the newest dated September 15, 2015. In fact, the entire site is bereft of content, activity and immediate energy. I’m sensing a reluctance to post new online content simultaneous with print for fear of alienating subs? If so, consider the lost opportunity when you prevent an unpaid army of loving fans from spreading the word.

  1. Octane seems to be among the very few car mags with strong content including advertising. Maybe it’s a British thing? I agree with the frustration in not having full online access to articles.
