1964 Ford Galaxie 427 Convertible

The Hershey sunshine was irresistible! Together with an empty trailer and a few spending bucks this 1964 Galaxie convertible made its way from the Car Corral to our Vermont garage.

The bad-ass blue oval acquitted itself nicely despite winter’s coming impact on an already abbreviated driving season.  Yet the white stuff created an opportunity to make the Galaxie the signature image of the Killorin Family Christmas card complete with tree and kids, top down of course.

She sports a late ’63 427 in place of the stock 352 and a bunch of performance upgrades. Goes like crazy and reminds us why real cars have lots of cubic inches and even more horsepower.

Alas, resto costs for the family Duesenberg are such that my time with the Galaxie must come to end. $36,500 gets it done and I’m not even breaking even.

Takers anyone?!
